Via swimming, the student has the occasion to mobilise and reactto the environment of being in water and to discover respiratory and kinetic dexterities that are not required in other sports.

The learning of swimming in the persons with special needs is separated in two basic parts:

  • Familiarization with water
  • Locomotion and moving the body in in water.

Swimming, as sport for individuals with infirmities, is advisable for cardiorespiratory improvement and growth of neuro-muscular co-ordination in an environment of relaxation and well-being.
